LOST IN LOVE

"I have other sheep that do not belong to this fold. These also I must lead and they will hear my voice, and there will be one flock, one shepherd."

John 10:10

The millennial generation today has managed to put beauty into the meaning of "wandering."

In a study done by the Princeton Survey Research Associate in 2017, it showed that 58 per cent of millennials worldwide are motivated to travel alone, venturing into "backpacking" and "solo trips" with the motivation of self development and taking advantage of these "adventurous trips" as a highly valued 'space' for personal development in the transitional phase of the youth." (Schott, 2016. "The Travel Motivation of Adventurous Young Solo Travellers")

Many of us travel today because it's safe. We go from place to place without fear. We often get excited to "wander off" and jump to our next travels.

But many years ago, the context of "wandering" was accompanied by a negative connotation.
Merriam-Webster's dictionary had even defined it as "to lose mental contact: to walk astray."

Apparently, today, the word is fashionably given sense as to "travel" and is materialized to be used as hashtags and screen names in blogs.

Who would have known that as the years go by, it's natural sense would initiate excitement and gain positive meaning--this because we are conscious about it.

But sometimes, in life we also find ourselves unconsciously wandering. Putting life into its meaning of going astray; finding ourselves in the middle of a place we are not familiar with. These are those times in our lives we become scared and unsure of the steps we make because we lost our direction, we find our selves, just going where the flow is, like a sheep in the middle of a flock.

However, despite the unlikely situation we never foresaw to be in, we are provided with 5 new directions that help us get through:

We learn to stand UP among those strange things around us.
We become compelled to put DOWN things that are not necessary for our journey
We realized that we have LEFT our comfort zones for the our growth zones
We are exactly RIGHT where we are supposed to be.

and the best direction provided is for us to  nevertheless move FORWARD.

For the Lord is HERE,  THERE, EVERYWHERE on the look for his flocks. We may be at the point in our lives wherein we are losing our selves, caught up with an unfamiliar and uncomfortable flock around but at all circumstances, let us learn to search and recognize the shepherd's voice. The shepherd that embraces even those not his own and of whom who promised a life exceedingly abundant in his green pastures of love.
