It was when I thought that being mature had something to do with hanging out with professionals, people with higher views, people who dealt with life more seriously—don’t get me wrong, it’s okay! Just that my own perception took me to position that most people fall into and later on realize some essential things in life. Backstory: that was the time I also decided to join a Christian community. I thought, “If I would be attending regular prayer meetings, be a servant, too, I have to veer away from the secular world and build a new life with new people, with clean sheets, avoid being seen in the places I used to be ...

Sometimes, we tend to be really scared when we get faced up with the bullies. We get to teased, called names, told things that aren’t even true! And we seldom surrender and start to feel negatively about ourselves: We tremble, crumble, breakdown and declare our loss.                 Sometimes bullies are the giants in our lives that we fight against. Our friends and enemies are people who make or break us. In general, let's call them “frienemies.”               It’s nothing but pure joy to be able share laughter with the people we meet, they eventually become our friends. It’s easy to laugh and be silly with them, do crazy things, go to malls, eat out with them, watch a movie and jokingly ridicule each other upfront.                 Life is a long and winding journey, and along the journey we meet different people and circumstances at a time. As we move forward, they remain in us as experiences and memories that make up who are today. In a week, we sometimes lock our rooms and leave and later on realize we left our keys inside, bad day! Or sometimes, walk our way to the supermarket and in the counter, frisk our pockets and realize we left our money or even our wallets! We can go on with all the stupid things that happen to us in a week. To err is human, we do make mistakes and fail most of the time and even sometimes our errors give us painful, frustrating or even depressing experiences—they are the ones that often overwhelm us and weakens us whenever we fall and makes us think WE ARE NO GOOD AT ALL.     ...
